Youth
Here's your chance to be the boss!
Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business- a lemonade stand. It is a nationwide program that began in Houston, Texas in 2007. The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society- the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow. Lemonade Day empowers today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs!
Saturday, June 22, 2024, is the 12th Annual Lemonade Day Coastal Bend, presented and organized by the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Coastal Bend youth of all ages, from pre-K through high school, can register to set up an official Lemonade Day stand on Saturday, June 22nd.
Each registered participant will receive access to the online curriculum where they will work through the lessons of Lemonade Day. Throughout the lessons, youth will learn to set a goal, create a budget, find an investor, advertise their stand, make healthy lemonade, provide customer service, give back to the community and more! Along the way, participants acquire skills in goal-setting, problem-solving, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
